Week 6

I really liked this week’s readings and presentation because it touched on the more personal aspects of doing development work, which are often crucially important to the success or failure of a project.  One thing that stuck out from the readings is the question posed by Adam Davis: “Do acts of service move us toward equality? ”  I’d be very interested to hear examples where it has, and examples where it hasn’t.

This week, we focused had two big discussions on Operating models (in the group and then in Jenna Davis’s research group) and decided that we would pursue the “Vendor the NGO” operating model.  We also have entered Stanford’s Social-E Challenge and just found out we made it to the next round!  yay!
