Project Overview

This project seeks to improve access to safe drinking water in Dhaka, Bangladesh in collaboration with International Center for Diarrheal Disease Research, Bangladesh (ICDDR,B). This project will involve the design and prototyping of a new community-level chlorine disinfection water treatment technology, which is needed because existing technologies are not appropriate for the characteristics of Dhaka slums. In addition, this project will involve developing a business plan and economic analysis for local manufacturing of this technology, as well as a marketing strategy for this new product.
